it looks almost as if it has sorrow in its eyes. like the so many things he can control and metaphoricly hold in his hands are untrue, worthless and empty because he longs for that particular thing (whatever it is) that he needs to fill this missing gap. you could say that he is bound in a prison that only exist inside his poor, inescapable mind.
